Part #2 with Teatum Jones
Day 3-6: Wednesday - Saturday
I decided to put these last few days together seeing as they mostly consisted of the same small jobs. I stuck nails through paper butterflies, ran around delivering the last few invites, bought 10p books from charity shops, built an ikea bookshelf, glued fake grass onto shelves, framed photos, covered the last few books and last but no least did loads of model castings. By the end of the week I was absolutely exhausted and couldn't wait for Sunday off. I was sore all over from walking around, carrying heavy boxes and burning my finger on the glue gun but still couldn't wait for their show on the following Tuesday.
My favorite part was probably when the models came in, loved meeting all these beautiful girls. When they arrived we took a card off them and took their book. We then measured them and did full length shots and close ups, they also tried on some of the collection to see how it looked on the different body shapes. These photos aren't great, but stay tuned as I'll be posting the pictures of backstage soon!
Love, P.

Part #1 with Teatum Jones
Why hello lovely people! So as promised I'm doing a diary sort of thing of my week with the amazing Teatum Jones. I got this work experience through my auntie, she used to be a make-up artist for Nars, she knows the 'Jones' side of the duo. I'm going to do this diary in a few parts hopefully and then i'll do a post about the day of their show. Enjoy!
Day 1: Monday
Seeing as it was my first day, I had absolutely no idea what I was going to be doing. I decided to dress casually but wanted to give a good impression seeing as I had never met the Teatum Jones team before. My grandma took this polaroid of me in the morning (when my boots were nicely polished unlike that evening..).
So anyway I got to their studio at 11 o'clock and met everyone. By half past I was already out on my first job; delivering exclusive London Fashion Week invites! I went all over the place and considering I don't live anywhere near London I was quite impressed with myself. I started off near Charing Cross and finished in China town at 7pm. Wasn't very glamourous seeing as I was frozen and my feet were killing me but I didn't half see some amazing hotels and deliver some very important invites including Scott Schuman's (oh my gooooooood!) from The Sartorialist. By the end of my first day I was absolutely exhausted and fell into bed when I got back to my grandma's in Brighton at 9'30..

Day 2: Tuesday
On my second day I got in at 10, I had about two hours of traveling morning and night.. I got into the studio and was sent out again to deliver more invites. I delivered to Harrods, Feathers and Browns. I got back after lunch and took some photos to be sent to bloggers. I also typed out the Teatum Jones biography and press release. Once I'd finished that I started covering books with the other interns.

back
hey hey hey, sorry about my absence for the past few weeks I've been extremely busy with some really exciting things, so many I don't even know where to start!
Not only am i now the proud owner of a polaroid camera (it's the small things that count right?) and some pretty cool pink lipstick I also spent an amazing week doing work experience with some amazing designers helping them prepare London Fashion Week (can't help but grin to myself when typing this). During the week there I kept a diary so that I didn't forget anything, so stay tuned for some excited posts coming soon!
I had a really busy week and didn't stop running around as I was commuting from Brighton to London everyday but I did manage to have sunday off so I spent the day with my auntie and got a little bit of shopping done. I'm actually surprised at how little I bought.

I have wanted this lipstick for absolutely ages but every time I went to buy it it was out of stock so I decided to wait until I got to England as it's also cheaper there. I love the colour of it and it smells so delicious you want to eat it (sounds weird but honestly you do). The colour also lasts really long on your lips which is good seeing as I'm forever licking mine. Anyway I think this is a must have, especially as it's so affordable.

I have wanted a polaroid for so long now and when my auntie found her old one and offered it to me i couldn't say no. I ordered the film (don't even know if that's what you call it) and when I arrived in Brighton I had everything I needed to start snapping away. I was so glad to have it in London, although it's huge and weighs a tone, I got some nice photos that will be something lovely to look at in a few years times.
Can't wait to start my 'week with Teatum Jones' posts so watch dis spaaaace.
Love, P.
